Something you wouldn't tell anyone? Last week, I accidentally super glued my nostril closed. I was repairing a pair of shoes and I must've gotten the glue on my fingers. When I wiped my nose, I inadvertently glued my right nostril shut. It was a hot look. The worst part wasn't even gluing my nose though - it was the fact that I had to repair an expensive pair of shoes AGAIN! Side note: nail polish remover dissolves super glue so I am ok now.
Favorite Movie: Lost in Translation
What are you currently reading? "My Life in Paris" by Julia Child (a very nice bday gift from my mum)
Summer Season is coming
May 20, 2012 -- 3:48pmI can't believe Memorial Day weekend is this upcoming weekend. Summer is my favorite season. While I don't wish for time to fly by quite as quickly as it is, I am psyched for the hot weather.
To celebrate the season, my wine friends & I did a rose wine last week. We were all in the Elizabeth Bishop Wine Program at BU & have decided to continue on independently. We've been doing various tastings, dinners, & whatnot since the semester ended.
All these tastings probably sounds like a party - which they are - but there's this crazy brain exercise part of it as well. Using mostly your senses of smell & taste to assess chemical composition, geography, and other various sciences opens up a whole new way of thinking. Quite frankly, all that brain exercising can be a bit tiring...which is why drinking the wine afterwards is particularly nice.
I uploaded the bottle photos to Facebook if you're interested in some fun "patio" wines for your own summer parties.:

I know River listeners are total foodies so if you have any suggestions for me, I am all ears.
Happy unofficial start of summer!!!
